According to the results of the seventh public opinion poll, experts of the Institute have drawn the following conclusions:

1. 58% of Ukrainian population prefers unitary state. At the same time 22% of respondents would like Ukraine to have a federative system.

2. Power accretion for the local authority is taken positively by the respondents who live in villages. In other localities people are afraid of negative consequences of such accretion.

3. Distrust of the authority is the main factor of the positive attitude of the population towards majority electoral system. Thus there are reasons to say that admission of the majority electoral system to be the best for Ukraine by the people testifies not so much to the weakness of the political culture of people as to ineffectiveness of the activity of parties and blocs in government bodies.

4. Today in Ukraine the respondents do not see the conditions for the development of science, engineering, as well as tourism, resorts. People traditionally pin their hopes on the industry and agriculture development.

5. The localities of Ukraine are developing mainly due to trade and industry. In general, the most sufficient index of development of city and village is services.

6. For 88% of respondents the Motherland is the state Ukraine, as well as for 59% of Crimean citizens. At the same time 32% of Crimean inhabitants say their motherland to be Russia.

7. 10-12% of the Ukrainian population are characterized by migration tendencies. Donbass tends to migrate the most: 16% of respondents live in their localities less than 1 year, 29% - from 1 to 5 years. The inhabitants of Kiev, Bukovina, Zakarpattya and Donbass are the most connected with relatives in other regions.
